Our story begins back in 1986, with a vision of bringing unique beers, full of flavour to the city of Toronto. Some Torontonian’s can trace their very first taste of a craft beer back to the Amsterdam Brasserie and Brewpub on John St. – ‘Toronto’s original brewpub’. Founded by a Dutch ex-pat in 1986, the Amsterdam was a buzzing venue that introduced thirsty patrons to something they had never experienced in beer before – FLAVOUR!

It’s a combination of good people, good ideas and good beer that has brought us to where we are today. We’ve also refused to stop trying, bettering ourselves and bettering our community. And to brew beer that others wouldn’t even think of. It’s a combination of fearless innovation, uncompromising individuals and deep-rooted pride in the city of Toronto that has allowed us to create a different type of beer company.

And a DAM GOOD one at that.

Welcome to our brewery located in Toronto’s Leaside neighbourhood at 45 Esandar Dr! We’ve been brewing AMSTERDAM GOOD BEER here since we moved from our downtown location in 2012. What started as 20,000 square feet of brewing space has grown to 62,500 square feet today plus 25,000 sq ft on 51 Esandar Dr.

Visit our on site retail store to shop our award winning brands, unique beer styles and Amsterdam merch that’s only available for sale here. Take a tour of our state of the art facility and enjoy a pint or two in our tap room. Our large event space is also available to book for private functions.

Welcome to the BrewHouse, home of Toronto's largest waterfront craft brewery, restaurant and retail store.

We are centrally located in the city of Toronto, just steps away from the CN Tower, Ripley’s Aquarium, Rogers Centre, Scotiabank Arena, and Union Station.

Our 14,000 square foot space is situated on the Toronto Harbourfront with four large patios and landscape views of the Toronto Islands.

Located only 400 steps away from our main production Brewery at 45 Esandar Dr, our restaurant features a large bar area, family dining room, 2 large garden patios and an event space for 50 people.

We’re Leaside’s local spot to enjoy crafted dishes from our wood fired grill and AMSTERDAM GOOD BEER with neighbours, friends and family.

We also offer takeout, and our takeout menu is different than our dine in menu so please be sure to refer to your favourite dining apps for what we can provide direct to your home!
